Kitchen Manager Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, full-service, systems-driven casual to upscale-casual restaurant required
- Demonstrated leadership skills: approachable, team-oriented, leads by example, and committed to maintaining standards
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Track record of maintaining standards, exceeding goals, and building strong team relationships
- Experience with inventory management and ordering is required
- Strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and operational compliance
- ServSafe certification
Kitchen Manager Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and lead the team – set high expectations and consistently deliver results
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with the heart of house team while maintaining accountability – integrity matters
- Stay actively involved in all areas of the kitchen with constant awareness of operations
- Uphold high service standards with strong attention to detail
- Work alongside the team to create outstanding guest experiences every time
- Ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Monitor portion control, recipe consistency, prep completion, and minimize waste
