We are a small, family-owned insurance agency seeking a motivated and professional Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This role offers hands-on exposure to a diverse commercial book with a focus on small-to-mid market accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with commercial insurance clients
  • Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner while addressing questions and concerns
  • Provide information and guidance on commercial lines insurance products and services
  • Handle “soup-to-nuts” commercial lines account management, including day-to-day servicing of assigned accounts
  • Quote both new and renewal commercial insurance business
  • Submit applications for new policies and bind coverage
  • Market, quote, and rate new business and renewal accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in Applied EPIC
  • Prepare certificates of insurance, client correspondence, and related documentation

For less-experienced candidates:

This role may initially function in a Commercial Lines Assistant capacity, supporting two Account Executives by processing new business and renewals, preparing certificates, sending client letters, and completing miscellaneous administrative tasks. With training and experience, this position is intended to grow into a full Commercial Lines Account Manager role.

 Knowledge & Skills Desired:

  • Strong customer service focus with a high level of professionalism
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and their applications
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with Applied EPIC preferred (training available for the right candidate)
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
