Closing Attorney Requirements & Qualifications

  • Active membership in the state bar
  • Ability to maintain professional liability insurance requirements
  • Completion of all required Continuing Legal Education
  • Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with state rules of professional conduct
  • Strong legal judgment and negotiation abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Closing Attorney Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in residential real estate closings
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to build lasting relationships
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with common legal and office technology platforms

Closing Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct residential closings with warmth, confidence, and efficiency
  • Review and clear title issues to facilitate smooth transactions
  • Communicate proactively with clients, agents, lenders, and internal staff to ensure positive experiences
  • Support the managing attorney and assist with closings at other office locations as needed
  • Represent the firm at industry events and foster strong relationships with real estate professionals
  • Provide timely and thorough responses to inquiries, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Uphold firm culture by promoting collaboration, service, and positivity
