Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Concrete)

Commercial Concrete Project Management. Nashville, Tennessee

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager who wants to deepen their project management skill set while working on meaningful, highly visible construction projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in supporting project execution from start through closeout.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating project planning, scheduling, and logistics with the Project Executive and operations team.

Managing document control including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and contract documents.

Tracking daily field progress using Bluebeam and maintaining logs for weather, production, and materials.

Expediting materials and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.

Reviewing invoices, verifying pay applications, and supporting accurate cost coding.

Leading weekly jobsite meetings and documenting meeting minutes to keep all stakeholders aligned.

Supporting punch-list activities and driving successful project closeouts.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer on commercial concrete projects.

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, with an emphasis on concrete scopes of work.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills.

Ability to work effectively with project executives, field teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software including Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Experience

OSHA certification.

Bilingual English and Spanish.

Experience with AutoCAD and Tekla.
