Senior Civil Engineer Requirements & Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering (required)
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (required)
10–12+ years of civil design experience, with a focus on industrial construction projects (land development, building pads, site infrastructure)
6+ years of experience in drainage, grading, and utility design
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, and MS Excel
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Senior Civil Engineer Preferred Background & Skills

Experience managing projects for the Department of Defense (DoD)
Collaborative mindset with a passion for problem-solving
Previous mentoring or leadership experience within engineering teams

Senior Civil Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects in alignment with U.S. military design standards
Develop site plans, grading designs, and detailed drainage solutions
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met
Resolve complex design and construction challenges efficiently
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, supporting strategy and project delivery goals
Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting best practices within the department
