A growing precision manufacturer is seeking an aerospace-experienced Quality Engineer to support day to day quality activities, inspection processes, documentation, and customer driven requirements at a newly acquired site. This is a hands on engineering role that works closely with inspectors, machinists, and the site Quality Manager to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory standards. The role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem solving on the shop floor, interpreting technical drawings, and strengthening process controls in a fast moving environment.

Quality Engineer What You Will Do

  • Perform inspections, review documentation, and support product and process qualification activities
  • Assist with AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance including audits, corrective actions, and internal documentation updates
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD and T requirements, and customer specifications to ensure conformance
  • Support FAIRs, PPAPs, SCAR responses, source inspection preparation, and related customer quality activity
  • Work with production teams to troubleshoot issues related to machining, inspection results, and process variation
  • Help maintain QMS documentation including procedures, controlled documents, and work instructions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor under the direction of the Quality Manager

Quality Engineer What You Bring

  • 3-7 years of Quality Engineering experience in machining, aerospace, automotive, or similar regulated industry
  • Bachelor degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business, or a STEM related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GD and T, drawing interpretation, and basic machining or inspection processes
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 required; NADCAP exposure is a plus
  • Familiarity with FAIRs, PPAPs, corrective actions, SCARs, or similar quality engineering tools
  • Ability to work hands on in a smaller site environment with multiple responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with production, engineering, and quality personnel
  • Stable career history with limited job hopping
