Technical Advisor Benefits & Compensation

Technical Advisor Requirements & Qualifications

Technology background in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or chemical engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism working with demanding clients
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Able to collaborate and thrive within a team environment
USPTO admission preferred
Prior law firm experience strongly preferred

Technical Advisor Preferred Background & Skills

Interest in hardware and devices, software, database technology, artificial intelligence, wireless, and/or image or signal processing

Technical Advisor Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Review invention disclosure documents and conduct invention disclosure meetings
Conduct prior art searches, review references, and analyze patentability
Draft patent applications
Review USPTO office actions, develop response strategies, conduct examiner interviews, and draft and file responses
Manage U.S. and foreign dockets
Analyze patents as part of due diligence and freedom to operate analyses
