Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Oversee cash reconciliation and maintain accurate general ledger activity, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely, accurate transaction posting.
Support monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, allocations, bank accounts), financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
Reconcile sales activity reports and manage prepaid/accrual schedules with proper documentation while delivering ad hoc reports and supporting special projects.
Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial reporting accuracy and enhance overall accounting efficiency.

Senior Accountant Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience; strong analytical skills, high accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Sage X3/100/500 preferred).
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate across diverse teams; bilingual English–Spanish a plus.
Preferred: Experience in the food industry, ability to travel to all Citarella locations, and reliable commutability.
