General Manager

Full-Service Hotel & Conference Center

St. Louis, MO

Compensation: $165,000–$175,000 Base + 20% Annual Bonus

We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a premier full-service hotel and conference center in St. Louis, Missouri.

This highly visible executive leadership position is responsible for the overall operation of a dynamic hospitality property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving financial performance, operational excellence, and team development. The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record managing upscale hotels, conference centers, or executive meeting facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all hotel and conference center operations.
  • Oversee Rooms, Food & Beverage, Catering, Conference Services, Guest Services, and Facilities.
  • Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and P&L accountability.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence.
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through consistent execution of upscale hospitality standards.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support conferences, executive meetings, special events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, guest experience, and overall profitability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of senior hotel leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Director of Operations within an upscale full-service hotel, conference center, or executive meeting facility.
  • Proven success overseeing complex hotel operations, including guest rooms, food & beverage, conference services, catering, and events.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and overall P&L performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Executive presence with a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Background

Experience leading operations within one or more of the following environments:

  • Upscale or luxury full-service hotels
  • Conference and convention hotels
  • Executive education or conference centers
  • Boutique hotels with significant meeting and catering operations
  • University-affiliated hospitality properties
