Restaurant Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience focused on FOH operations
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on kitchen experience (scratch kitchen strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of both FOH and BOH execution
- Proven ability to run effective shifts and lead cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of food quality standards, kitchen workflow, and service timing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management systems (POS, inventory, HR software)
- TABC, Food Manager, and Allergen Certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Resourceful problem solver with strong attention to detail
Restaurant Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Financial acumen and P&L experience
- Spanish speaking a plus, not required
Restaurant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensure exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences across all FOH areas
- Lead and manage FOH operations, including host stand, dining room, bar, and to-go
- Collaborate with BOH teams to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely service and food quality
- Drive team development through hiring, training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Manage schedules, labor, and staffing needs, maintaining high levels of professionalism
- Oversee inventory, cost controls, and operational efficiency in partnership with the General Manager
- Coordinate live music operations and support marketing initiatives and special events
