Our client, a well-established financial services firm specializing in custodial and trust solutions, is seeking a highly driven Senior Product Designer to own and shape the design function across multiple core products. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a true “builder” who thrives in a lean environment, operates with high autonomy, and wants to influence both product direction and user experience at a foundational level.

You will be the sole designer, partnering closely with leadership and engineering to redesign and modernize a multi-surface platform, including client-facing applications, advisor tools, and internal systems. The current platform is functional but requires a significant UX/UI evolution, including simplifying complex workflows and contributing to a broader shift in product architecture.

Success in this role requires strong product thinking, speed, and conviction—someone who can challenge assumptions, move quickly, and leverage modern tools, including AI, to accelerate execution.

Senior Product Designer Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $110,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Fully remote work environment

Senior Product Designer Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3–8 years of product design experience with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing complex problem-solving and product thinking (UX and UI)
  • Experience designing for B2B SaaS, fintech, or complex internal tools
  • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with minimal oversight
  • Strong understanding of user flows, interaction design, and information architecture
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma or similar) with the ability to move quickly and iterate
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders

Senior Product Designer Must Haves

  • Experience owning design for complex, multi-surface or multi-user platforms
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences
  • Comfortable operating as a sole designer in a fast-moving, low-structure environment
  • Strong collaboration with engineering teams to ensure speed and quality of execution
  • Demonstrated ability to balance speed vs. polish in product design
  • Experience using modern tools, including AI, to accelerate design workflow

Senior Product Designer Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in fintech or financial services environments
  • Background designing dashboards, internal tools, or data-heavy applications
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and React-based environments
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth companies

This role is best suited for designers who enjoy high ownership, minimal structure, and building in fast-moving environments where they can make a direct impact.
