Senior Python Engineer (Data Platforms) – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
A fast-growing and highly successful consumer financial services company in Plano, TX 75024 is seeking a Senior Python Engineer (Data Platforms) to join a highly collaborative team focused on building and supporting data-driven applications, analytics solutions, and scalable data pipelines.
This is a Python-first engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on development, takes ownership of technical solutions, and thrives in an environment built on accountability, trust, and direct communication. You'll partner closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value.
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite attendance three days per week in Plano, TX.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and support scalable Python applications and services
- Architect and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and automated workflows
- Build dashboards and analytics solutions for business users
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and database performance
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Support CI/CD, DevOps initiatives, and Agile development practices
- Own solutions from design through deployment and ongoing support
Role Breakdown
- Approximately 50% Core Python Development
- Approximately 25–30% Dashboard & Analytics Development
- Approximately 10% DevOps & Platform Support
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep, recent, hands-on Python development expertise
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Experience designing, building, and supporting automated data pipelines and workflow orchestration in production environments
- Experience developing dashboards, analytics applications, and reporting solutions
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a highly collaborative environment
Compensation
Up to $150,000 base salary + bonus
