Employment Law Arbitration Benefits & Compensation

Employment Law Arbitration Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of employment law experience, with a strong track record in wage and hour class, PAGA, and arbitration matters
Demonstrated success leading legal teams or mentoring junior attorneys
Proven ability to manage high-volume or mass arbitrations, from case intake through resolution
Expert knowledge of arbitration forums and rules, especially AAA and JAMS mass arbitration protocols
Strong legal writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills with experience overseeing team performance
Proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to process improvement

Employment Law Arbitration Preferred Background & Skills

Deep expertise in the California Labor Code (especially §§ 201–203, 226, 510, 558, 1194) and related employee rights statutes
Previous experience optimizing legal workflows, templates, or systems for large caseloads
Background successfully handling complex or high-value arbitration hearings

Employment Law Arbitration Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead and manage mass arbitration cases, with a primary focus on wage and hour violations
Develop case strategies, evaluate damages, and drive outcomes using applicable labor statutes
Oversee all phases of arbitration, including discovery, brief drafting, preparation, and hearings
Review and ensure accuracy of all legal documents, including arbitration demands and settlement agreements
Coordinate with intake, pre-litigation, and operations teams for case readiness and smooth transitions
Monitor and enforce compliance with arbitration provider protocols, particularly for batch or mass arbitrations
Contribute to strategic decisions and represent the firm in hearings as needed
