Employment Law Arbitration Benefits & Compensation

Employment Law Arbitration Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of employment law experience, with a strong track record in wage and hour class, PAGA, and arbitration matters
  • Demonstrated success leading legal teams or mentoring junior attorneys
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume or mass arbitrations, from case intake through resolution
  • Expert knowledge of arbitration forums and rules, especially AAA and JAMS mass arbitration protocols
  • Strong legal writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience overseeing team performance
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to process improvement

Employment Law Arbitration Preferred Background & Skills

  • Deep expertise in the California Labor Code (especially §§ 201–203, 226, 510, 558, 1194) and related employee rights statutes
  • Previous experience optimizing legal workflows, templates, or systems for large caseloads
  • Background successfully handling complex or high-value arbitration hearings

Employment Law Arbitration Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mass arbitration cases, with a primary focus on wage and hour violations
  • Develop case strategies, evaluate damages, and drive outcomes using applicable labor statutes
  • Oversee all phases of arbitration, including discovery, brief drafting, preparation, and hearings
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all legal documents, including arbitration demands and settlement agreements
  • Coordinate with intake, pre-litigation, and operations teams for case readiness and smooth transitions
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with arbitration provider protocols, particularly for batch or mass arbitrations
  • Contribute to strategic decisions and represent the firm in hearings as needed
