Operations Manager

Operations Manager Benefits & Compensation

Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in the transportation industry.
At least 5 years of experience in developing leadership talent.
Minimum 5 years of P&L responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Proven ability to oversee large teams
Strong customer communication skills and transportation operations background.

Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Familiarity with systems such as AS400, Omnitracs, TMW, and Geotab.
Proficient in MS Office applications.

Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Monitor driver logs and ensure DOT compliance while enforcing company policies.
Oversee payroll accuracy and manage hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
Dispatch and schedule drivers using Qualcomm/Omnitracs or similar tools.
Track driver utilization, routes, hours, and equipment while coaching drivers on customer service and safety.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, responding rapidly to inquiries and managing service concerns.
Validate daily load plans and coordinate maintenance and PM schedules.
