This is a hands-on Controller / Finance Manager leadership role within a growing, multi-unit restaurant organization, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with executive leadership. The Controller / Finance Manager will play a critical role in financial accuracy, cost control, compliance, and operational decision-making in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Controller / Finance Manager – Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Controller or Finance Manager, preferably in multi-unit restaurants or hospitality
Strong hands-on accounting background including month-end and year-end close
Extensive experience with COGS, inventory control, and variance analysis
Experience managing heavy inventory environments ($15M–$20M+ revenue preferred)
Proficiency with Restaurant365 or similar restaurant accounting systems
Strong understanding of cash management, AP/AR, and general ledger
Experience coordinating audits and supporting tax filings
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local compliance requirements
Ability to manage banking relationships and credit card processors
High level of integrity and confidentiality

Controller / Finance Manager – Preferred Background & Skills

Multi-unit restaurant, hotel or hospitality accounting experience strongly preferred
Ability to partner closely with Operations to manage food cost and inventory accuracy
Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
Strong analytical and reporting skills, including budget vs. actual analysis
Experience establishing internal controls and financial best practices
Comfort working in a lean organization where leaders wear multiple hats
Strong communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly
Alignment with company culture, values, and brand standards
