Senior Technical Tax Manager Requirements & Qualifications

CPA or Tax Attorney with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience managing and mentoring a small tax team.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
Deep knowledge of federal tax law, including pass-throughs and corporations.

Senior Technical Tax Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Experience with 1120s, trusts, estates, and gift tax planning.
Familiarity with private equity and venture capital clients.

Senior Technical Tax Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Stay updated with the latest tax regulations and provide authoritative advice on challenging tax matters.
Scrutinize intricate tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal tax positions before filing.
Act as the primary technical resource for the tax team.
Address and resolve inquiries and provide guidance on complex client scenarios.
Mentor and train team members on internal processes and procedures.
Meet with high-profile or complex clients to provide tailored tax solutions.
