About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Equipment Operator & Crew Leader to lead daily field operations for hardscape and underground utility projects. This role combines heavy equipment operation with crew leadership to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators, skid steers, trenchers, loaders, and related equipment
  • Lead and direct a small field crew and manage daily jobsite activities
  • Read plans, coordinate materials and equipment, and maintain production schedules
  • Ensure equipment upkeep and strict adherence to safety and OSHA standards
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and inspectors as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of heavy equipment experience in sitework, utilities, or hardscape
  • Proven crew leadership and jobsite management skills
  • Ability to read plans and understand grading and underground utilities
  • CDL or towing experience preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and safety mindset
