A top-tier national plaintiff-side trial firm is seeking driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented lateral attorneys to join its Houston office in direct support of elite trial teams handling high-profile cases across the country.

This role is ideal for an experienced civil litigator who wants meaningful responsibility, hands-on trial exposure, and the opportunity to work on some of the most impactful personal injury cases in the nation.

What You’ll Do

Work closely with an assigned Houston-based trial team on complex civil litigation
Develop cases from intake through trial or settlement
Learn and apply procedural rules and substantive law across varied jurisdictions
Take and defend fact and expert depositions
Draft and argue motions, briefs, and affirmative motions
Prepare and draft complex demand packages
Attend trial as needed (typically 2–4 trials per year; travel required)
Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and co-counsel

Qualifications

Active member in good standing of any U.S. state bar
3+ years of post-J.D. civil litigation experience
- or 1 year of judicial clerkship experience
Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage cases from start to finish
Strong legal research and writing skills (motions, briefs, responses)
Excellent oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative trial team
