Business Development Representative Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of B2B sales or account management experience (strongly preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors and on customer sites.
  • Strong organizational skills, CRM proficiency, and precise data entry.
  • Hunter mentality, and ability to take lead on assignments

Business Development Representative Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience with long-cycle customer relationships and service recovery.
  • Familiarity with territory planning, proposals, market data analysis, and sales activity tracking.
  • Executive presence and persuasive communication skills.

Business Development Representative Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Execute outside B2B sales activities including cold calling, walk-ins, and live demonstrations to prospect and secure new business.
  • Sell inventory to local and regional accounts, preparing compelling, solutions-focused proposals.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, proactively identifying expansion and renewal opportunities.
  • Resolve billing, service, or contract issues quickly while upholding high service standards.
