Front of House Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Certification from the Department of Health.
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Technically savvy with key systems and IT infrastructure (OpenTable, Toast, Restaurant 365, Dolce).
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.

Front of House Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • A good sense of humor.
  • Desire and motivation to work with energy and positivity.
  • Understanding of financial implications of operational decisions.

Front of House Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in providing guests with the best possible experience.
  • Create a positive work culture by exemplifying core values.
  • Oversee the restaurant's preparedness for daily service and DOH inspection readiness.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure the restaurant meets or exceeds financial targets.
  • Foster relationships with guests to create regulars and enhance customer loyalty.
