A well-established engineering firm is seeking a motivated Regional Transportation Engineering Lead. This role is integral to the growth of the transportation group, with a focus on leading public-sector roadway projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and supporting strategic business development efforts with FDOT and local municipalities.

Regional Transportation Engineering Lead Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a transportation focus
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
Minimum of 10 years of relevant transportation engineering experience
FDOT roadway design and project management experience
Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads
FDOT Advanced MOT Certification preferred
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid U.S. driver’s license

Regional Transportation Engineering Lead Responsibilities:

Provide roadway design, project management, and serve as Engineer of Record
Oversee design teams and production efforts, ensuring project quality and efficiency
Review and approve design calculations, plans, and specifications
Lead or support pursuit and marketing efforts for public-sector transportation projects
Build new client relationships and maintain existing partnerships
Mentor and develop engineering staff within the team
Perform QA/QC, contract administration, and workload forecasting
Manage project budgets and ensure profitability
