Financial Analyst Responsibilities and qualifications

  • Must be very skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and be savvy with financial software such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, ERP experience. 
  • Must have experience with private equity firms (or related), and/or public accounting firms.
  • CPA license strongly preferred (Certified Public Accountant).
  • Must have an understanding of tax laws, governmental guidelines, and accounting standards (GAAP)
  • Must be able to manage the general ledger and reconcile any imbalances.
  • Able to collaborate and work to ensure all process and procedures are in compliance with guidelines.
  •  Must be strong with data analysis, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Promote and live a positive workplace culture. Excellent communication skills. High level of ethics.

Financial Analyst Preferred Background and Skills

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA or CGMA) is a plus
  •  Master’s Degree is preferred (bachelor’s is a must), Finance or Accounting.
  •  Leadership experience in hospitality or construction related finance is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Track record of successful audit preparation and successful audits. Identifying areas that need improvement and putting processes in place.
