Metal Trader
Summary
Scrap Metal Recycling company seeking a Commodities Trader to price, procure, and manage ferrous and non-ferrous scrap packages in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track scrap metal market trends, create daily price sheets, and price scrap materials competitively
- Procure scrap metal packages and manage supplier relationships
- Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules with vendors and customers
- Support strategy to optimize input costs and improve margins through foundry and export sales
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and strong Excel/Office skills
- Experience in financial analysis and forecasting
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, multitask, and report on financial performance
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management
- Independent worker with solid time management and problem-solving abilities
- Analytical mindset with ability to manage complex projects
