Human Resources Generalist

Human Resources Generalist Benefits & Compensation

Human Resources Generalist Requirements & Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information

Human Resources Generalist Preferred Background & Skills

  • Analytical, resourceful, and eager to improve processes
  • Quick learner with a passion for supporting employees across their career journey

Human Resources Generalist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent across multiple markets
  • Create and maintain job descriptions, interview guides, and postings that reflect company culture
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and partner with hiring managers throughout the hiring process
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain employee records, audit HRIS systems, and ensure compliance with internal documentation
  • Prepare reports, analyze HR metrics, and develop presentations or training materials
  • Monitor employment laws and support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Handle sensitive employee information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity
