Restaurant Floor Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree (any major) or two-year culinary associate’s degree required
  • 1–2 years of restaurant experience with supervisory exposure preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and customer service principles
  • Must be able to with the company's drug free environment policies

Restaurant Floor Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant environment (lead server, supervisor, or assistant manager)
  • Experience in high-volume, elevated dining operations
  • Strong problem-solving and team-building abilities
  • Experience with staff scheduling and performance evaluation
  • Passion for providing outstanding guest experiences

Restaurant Floor Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee dining room operations to ensure smooth service and memorable guest experiences
  • Lead, train, and motivate team members to uphold company standards
  • Monitor workflow and collaborate to address service issues quickly
  • Support the development and evaluation of front-of-house staff
  • Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and organizational policies
  • Foster a welcoming, positive atmosphere for both guests and staff
