An established transportation manufacturer is building the future of electric vehicle technology and is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to move that work forward. You will design and refine real mechanical systems alongside seasoned engineers, with hands-on ownership from concept through prototype to production.

Design Engineer, Mechanical, EV: Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- 5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years in EV powertrain integration
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar engineering tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear technical communication, written and verbal
- Comfortable working independently and across cross-functional teams
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident required
Design Engineer, Mechanical, EV: Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and refine detailed design models and technical drawings with senior engineers
- Produce documentation that defines mechanical system and component specifications
- Apply FMVSS, state, and customer requirements to design decisions
- Support prototype development and contribute to design reviews with clear feedback
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and performance issues with the team
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to protect feasibility and manufacturability
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Stay current on EV technology, materials, and manufacturing processes
