Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical

What You’ll Do as an Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical

The Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical supports the execution of high-stakes concrete scopes for data centers, power facilities, water treatment plants, and other zero-failure environments. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership to drive scheduling, logistics, documentation, materials flow, and field coordination across fast-paced, high-volume projects.

Key responsibilities include.

• Coordinating project planning, scheduling, milestones, and daily logistics with operations leadership.

• Managing document control tasks including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract files.

• Tracking daily field progress using Bluebeam while maintaining weather logs, production logs, and material logs.

• Expediting materials, monitoring lead times, and communicating with vendors to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Reviewing invoices, verifying pay applications, and ensuring precise cost coding against established budgets.

• Leading weekly jobsite coordination meetings and documenting actionable meeting minutes.

• Supporting punch-list creation, management, and project close-out deliverables.

What We’re Looking For in an Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.

• 3 plus years of experience as an APM or Project Engineer supporting concrete construction.

• Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and specifications with an emphasis on concrete scopes.

• Proven ability to support several workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving construction environment.

• Strong communication, organization, and coordination abilities to keep teams aligned.

• Effective interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with field teams, leadership, and clients.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Procore, and Microsoft Project.

• Ability to work primarily onsite in an active construction site environment.

Preferred Experience for an Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical

• OSHA Certification.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Experience with AutoCAD and Tekla.
