Regional Sales Manager – Commercial Lighting

Northern New Jersey / New York Metropolitan Area

Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 Base + Uncapped Commission + Benefits

Are you a lighting industry sales professional with a strong network and a proven ability to generate new business?

We're partnering with a growing commercial lighting manufacturer seeking a relationship-driven sales leader to expand market presence throughout the Northern New Jersey and New York metropolitan region.

This is an opportunity to join a company that offers both established product lines and custom lighting solutions while giving you the autonomy to leverage your industry relationships and build long-term revenue growth.

What You'll Do

  • Drive territory growth through strategic business development efforts
  • Develop new relationships with distributors, contractors, architects, designers, specifiers, and end users
  • Expand existing customer accounts while identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Strengthen and manage relationships with lighting representatives and channel partners
  • Promote commercial, architectural, specialty, and custom lighting solutions
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Identify and pursue large project opportunities throughout the territory
  • Monitor market activity, industry trends, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue goals

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of lighting industry experience
  • Strong existing network within the lighting market
  • Proven success generating new business and growing revenue
  • Experience selling through distributors, rep agencies, contractors, and specification channels
  • Established relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, architects, designers, and specifiers
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a true hunter mentality
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to company growth initiatives
