Director of Operations – QSR New Restaurant Opening & Expansion (Founding U.S. Leader)

We are seeking a dynamic, bilingual (English/Spanish) Director of Operations to lead the launch of our first U.S. quick-service restaurant and build the operational foundation for rapid national expansion and franchising. This is a rare opportunity for a proven QSR leader to partner directly with the founder, shape the U.S. market entry, and grow into a future CEO role as the brand scales.

This role is ideal for a hands-on operations executive who thrives in new restaurant openings, enjoys building systems from the ground up, and is energized by bringing an established international concept into the U.S. market.

You will initially travel to Colombia to immerse yourself in the brand’s culture, recipes, and operational standards, then translate that success into a scalable, high-performing U.S. operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end opening of the first U.S. location, including construction, build-out, and operational readiness

• Learn and adapt proven recipes, menus, and systems from the Colombia flagship to ensure brand authenticity and operational excellence

• Establish vendor partnerships, negotiate supplier agreements, and build a reliable supply chain

• Develop scalable operational infrastructure, including SOPs, training programs, and operational playbooks

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop the opening team, fostering a strong culture of accountability and performance

• Design compensation structures, policies, and operational standards aligned with growth objectives

• Drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and strong early financial performance

• Partner with ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and brand expansion

• Build the operational model to support franchising and multi-unit expansion across the U.S.

• Serve as the operational leader and brand ambassador during the critical U.S. launch phase

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in QSR, fast food, or fast casual multi-unit operations

• Proven success leading new restaurant openings (NROs) and scaling operations

• Experience supporting franchise systems or multi-location expansion preferred

• Strong hands-on leadership style with the ability to execute and strategize simultaneously

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to collaborate across international teams

• Willingness to travel to Colombia for immersive operational training

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder mentality and passion for growth
