Assistant Project Superintendent Requirements & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively

Assistant Project Superintendent Preferred Background & Skills

  • Prior experience assisting on commercial construction sites
  • Exposure to scheduling software or construction management platforms

Assistant Project Superintendent Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site supervision and coordination of all field activities for commercial construction projects
  • Help plan project schedules and oversee daily operations to achieve timely and on-budget project delivery
  • Support the development and enforcement of site logistics, safety programs, and quality standards
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings, coordination meetings, and daily huddles
  • Assist with daily reports, schedules, quantity tracking, and site documentation
  • Ensure project sites comply with safety requirements and company policies
  • Support inspection coordination, punch list management, and project closeout activities
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Learn to mentor field staff and contribute to team development
