Director of Operations – Fast Food New Restaurant Opening

We are seeking a hands-on, bilingual (English/Spanish) Director of Operations to lead the launch of our first U.S. Fast Food restaurant and establish scalable operational systems for rapid expansion, including franchising. This is a unique opportunity for a senior operations leader with multi-unit experience to partner with the founder and grow into a CEO role as the company scales.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling to Colombia to learn existing recipes, systems, and operational standards from the original restaurant team. This role combines strategic oversight with direct execution across all aspects of opening, operating, and scaling a fast-paced quick-service restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and adapt existing recipes, menus, and operational processes from the Colombian restaurant to U.S. standards.

• Manage pre-opening construction, design, and build-out of the first U.S. location, including refurbishment of existing or second-generation locations to expedite openings.

• Identify, negotiate, and secure relationships with food and non-food vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

• Establish menu pricing, employee compensation structures, benefits offerings, and operational policies.

• Hire, train, and lead the initial restaurant team, including kitchen staff, cashiers, and cross-trained operations personnel.

• Develop operational manuals, training programs, and a U.S.-specific playbook to ensure consistent brand and service quality.

• Drive early operational success, build local brand recognition, and generate customer loyalty and positive reviews.

• Support future franchise development, including systematizing processes for multi-unit expansion.

• Collaborate closely with the founder and senior leadership on marketing initiatives, operational strategy, and growth planning.

Qualifications:

• Senior leadership experience in fast food, QSR, or fast casual restaurant operations.

• Proven track record in franchising, multi-unit expansion, or new market launches.

• Experience opening new restaurants and scaling operational systems.

• Strong execution-focused leadership with the ability to manage day-to-day operations and high-level strategy simultaneously.

• Fluent in English and Spanish; able to communicate effectively across international teams.

• Ideally based in South Florida with flexibility for initial extended travel to Colombia.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.

What We Offer:

• Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses.

• Equity stake in a fast-growing, founder-led restaurant brand.

• Opportunity to grow into a CEO role as the U.S. operation scales.

• Exposure to international operations and multi-unit development.

About the Business:

Our brand is a fast casual / QSR concept specializing in creative breakfast and egg-based sandwiches. The first U.S. location will serve as a blueprint for rapid expansion, with a focus on high-quality food, operational efficiency, and scalable systems.

Travel:

• Initial travel to Colombia required to learn brand standards, recipes, and operational processes.

• Occasional travel to support site openings, vendor relations, and franchise development.
