Join a high-profile NYC restaurant backed by an established real estate investment group. This is a hands-on Finance Manager role supporting a fast-paced hospitality operation, with additional exposure to real estate reporting and portfolio-level initiatives.

This position sits in NYC and reports directly to senior management in Hong Kong. You’ll own the restaurant’s financial reporting and analysis while partnering closely with leadership to improve profitability, controls, and long-term financial planning.

Finance Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA required
5+ years of financial management or FP&A experience
Experience within restaurant, food & beverage environments
Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
Lead month-end close and prepare full financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Review daily cash and credit card sales; reconcile against POS systems
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, operational setting
Ability to commute to New York, NY

Finance Manager Must-Haves

Perform bank reconciliations and oversee daily cash positioning
Process invoices, set up vendor accounts, and maintain W9 documentation
Maintain accurate accounting records and internal controls
Conduct and reconcile monthly inventory counts
Analyze sales trends, margins, and operational costs to identify opportunities for improvement
Build and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts; identify liquidity risks
Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and external consultants
Support ad-hoc financial projects and assist with real estate reporting when needed

Finance Manager Preferred Background & Skills

Experience with systems such as Yardi, QuickBooks, TOAST, MarginEdge, or Tripleseat
Background supporting both hospitality and real estate entities
Strong operational mindset — comfortable digging into daily sales, labor, and cost drivers
Experience reporting to international leadership teams
Process-improvement focused with strong internal controls orientation
