A respected civil engineering firm is looking to add a Design Engineer to its team. This position suits an engineer who enjoys staying close to the technical work, contributing immediately to active projects, and collaborating within a small, highly engaged group.

Role Overview

Take the lead on transportation design efforts while mentoring and supporting junior engineers
Develop both preliminary and final design plans and technical deliverables
Contribute to projects involving roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction, intersections, traffic signal systems, roundabouts, drainage, and shared-use paths
Apply INDOT, LPA, and AASHTO standards throughout all phases of project delivery
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely execution

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Active Indiana PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months
4–8 years of experience in transportation engineering
Strong familiarity with INDOT standards, processes, and design criteria
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Comfortable joining ongoing projects and contributing with minimal onboarding

Preferred Experience

Traffic signal and/or roundabout design
Drainage design and utility coordination
Sidewalk, curb ramp, or multi-use path design
