Exciting Opportunity: Events Manager – New American Restaurant & Private Event Venue

Are you a hospitality leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? We’re seeking an Events Manager to join the opening team of a dynamic New American restaurant, bar, and private event venue in Portland’s vibrant Pearl District. This is your chance to help shape the guest experience from day one in a chef-driven, beverage-forward environment.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as the main onsite point of contact for clients during events.
Execute small- and large-scale events with precision and polish.
Lead and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and bussers.
Oversee setup and ensure event spaces reflect floor plans and BEOs.
Address client and guest needs promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
Manage event billing, POS entry, and payment processing accurately.
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment while enforcing high service standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in banquet management, catering, or event leadership.
Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and food safety regulations.
Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
Physically able to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
