The Electrical & Controls Engineer coordinates closely with the Engineering and Operations staff to design, validate, commission, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems for automated food processing lines and equipment. The qualified candidate will be involved from initial concept through the entire life cycle of production lines and equipment featuring state of the art PLC-based controls with HMI panels.  

Electrical & Controls Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Use of AutoCAD Electrical to create schematics, layouts IO lists, BOM and P&IDs
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, key suppliers, and clients.
  • 10-20% travel – Foreign and Domestic, for customer support.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Combustion Control Systems.

Electrical & Controls Engineer Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in automated machinery design and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and use of Ladder Logic programming
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
