The General Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of event operations and rental services, from client consultation through execution and post-event evaluation. This role ensures exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, financial performance, and team leadership while driving sustainable business growth.

Core Responsibilities

Salary Range- $140K-$150K plus bonus and benefits

Client & Event Execution

  • Act as primary client liaison; understand event goals, budgets, and expectations
  • Plan and execute events end-to-end, ensuring seamless delivery and high service standards
  • Oversee logistics including venues, catering, décor, rentals, and audiovisual services
  • Lead on-site execution, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure client satisfaction

Operations, Financial & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets; control labor and operating expenses
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage service provider relationships
  • Oversee inventory management for rentals, equipment, linens, and supplies

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise event and operations staff
  • Build a professional, service-driven culture focused on accountability and performance
  • Ensure efficient staffing models and operational productivity

Sales Partnership & Business Growth

  • Support sales initiatives by promoting event services and rental offerings
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align operations with client needs and revenue goals
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings, profitability, and guest experience

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with insurance, safety, health, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct post-event reviews to assess performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe, secure environment for staff and guests

Performance Expectations

  • Achieve a minimum of 5% year-over-year departmental profit growth
  • Maintain high client satisfaction scores and repeat business
  • Demonstrate strong labor management and operational efficiency

General Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in hospitality, events, or operations management
  • Strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and customer-focused leadership style
