An iconic five-star, five-diamond luxury resort is seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to lead and elevate the Rooms Division operation. This executive role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence across all Rooms departments.
Director of Rooms Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Rooms Division team of approximately 300 employees across Front Office, Guest Services, Concierge, Reservations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Club Lounge, Kids Club, and related departments.
- Oversee a major guest room renovation project, partnering with ownership, design, and construction teams to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout the process.
- Drive operational strategy, service innovation, guest satisfaction, and Forbes Five-Star standards across all Rooms operations.
- Mentor and develop department leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
- Maintain a strong guest presence throughout the resort and oversee service recovery, loyalty engagement, and operational quality.
- Manage Rooms Division financial performance including labor, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and expense control.
Director of Rooms Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Director of Rooms or senior Rooms leader in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Minimum 4 years of luxury or five-star hospitality experience.
- Proven success managing large, multi-department teams in a high-volume operation.
- Strong leadership, communication, financial, and operational skills.
- Proficiency in Opera and strong technology acumen within luxury hospitality operations.
Director of Rooms Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary and executive benefits package, and a generous relocation package
- Salary range: $120,000 – $166,000
