Complex Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Prospect, research, and generate new group and business travel leads through proactive sales efforts, networking, and market analysis
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, intermediaries, convention bureaus, and key clients
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue across guest rooms, meeting space, and food & beverage offerings
  • Conduct outside sales calls, attend industry events and tradeshows, and represent the hotel within the local and national market
  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commission agreements while protecting hotel profitability and strengthening client partnerships
  • Conduct engaging and personalized hotel site tours that showcase the property and align with customer needs
  • Collaborate with operations, catering, revenue management, and legal teams to ensure the successful execution of booked business
  • Accurately maintain account activity, customer details, and booking information within Delphi FDC and other sales systems
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities to capture additional market share

Complex Sales Manager Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of hotel sales – dual property sales is a huge plus
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Strong prospecting, networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently to clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business plans.
  • Extensive experience managing group sales, corporate accounts, association accounts, and complex hospitality contracts
  • Proficiency with CRM and lead management systems such as Delphi FDC or similar platforms
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel locally for outside sales calls, networking events, and client meetings
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences
