Executive Sous Chef – High-Profile Midtown Hotel | New York City, NY
A prestigious, high-profile hotel in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef with a strong background in Asian Fusion cuisine to join its culinary leadership team.
This role is ideal for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in elevated, fast-paced hotel environments and has experience overseeing multiple outlets, banquets, and high-level guest experiences. The Executive Sous Chef will partner closely with the Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations while maintaining exceptional culinary standards, team development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily culinary operations across restaurant outlets, banquets, and in-room dining
- Lead, train, and develop a diverse culinary team while maintaining high execution standards
- Support menu development and culinary innovation with a strong focus on Asian Fusion cuisine
- Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, quality, and kitchen efficiency
- Manage food cost, labor cost, inventory, and overall kitchen financial performance
- Maintain all health, sanitation, and safety standards
- Partner with front-of-house leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Act as a key operational leader in support of the Executive Chef
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- At least 2 years as an Executive Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-volume upscale environment
- Strong Asian Fusion culinary background is required
- Proven experience with banquet operations and multi-outlet kitchens
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and financial management skills
- Hands-on leadership style with a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence
- Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
