Underwriter, Agribusiness — Specialty MGA Remote (Quarterly Travel Required) | $75,000–$95,000+ base + bonus

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing MGA and specialty wholesale broker building out their agribusiness underwriting practice. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop deep agribusiness expertise and get exposure to larger, middle market risks faster than they would elsewhere.

The Role

  • Evaluate, quote, and bind agribusiness submissions across a range of operations
  • Specialty focus includes confinement operations (poultry and swine), dairy farms, cattle and livestock, and boiler operations
  • Products are largely ISO-based
  • Manage a high-volume submission pipeline and build relationships with retail agency partners
  • Exercise independent underwriting judgment within delegated authority

What You Bring

  • 1 to 3 years of commercial insurance or underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with agribusiness or farmowners policy forms, or commercial lines experience with some ag exposure
  • Comfort with ISO-based policy forms
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage a fast-paced pipeline
  • Bachelor's degree required

Comp Range

  • $75,000 at 1 to 3 years experience
  • Up to $95,000+ for 3+ years depending on background and plug-and-play readiness
  • Annual bonus eligible, medical, vision, dental, PTO, and designation support included
