A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee complex legal billing operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-impact leadership role working closely with attorneys, clients, and finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations.
Billing Manager Benefits & Compensation

Billing Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of law firm billing experience
- Strong experience with Finance Core, Coyote, and Tabs
- Experience managing complex legal billing and e-billing compliance
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Prior billing team leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Billing Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience supporting AmLaw or multi-office law firms
- Background with e-billing platforms and client audit compliance
- Strong process improvement and billing operations experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
Billing Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the full legal billing cycle, including prebills, edits, invoices, write-downs, and adjustments
- Manage complex billing arrangements, including hourly, fixed fee, and alternative fee structures
- Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and e-billing requirements
- Partner with attorneys and leadership to resolve billing issues and improve processes
- Monitor realization, aged receivables, and unbilled time
- Lead and mentor billing staff
- Generate billing reports and support month-end and year-end financial processes
