We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Applications Engineer to join an innovative engineering team delivering advanced manufacturing solutions to global customers across aerospace, defense, and power generation industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and cutting-edge research & development.

Systems Applications Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical liaison between the company and customers throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Support pre-sales activities by assessing customer requirements and developing technical solutions
  • Design tooling and fixturing using CAD software
  • Develop and optimize machining processes using CNC programming and CAM systems
  • Work hands-on with advanced machining technologies including EDM, laser, and electrochemical machining
  • Lead on-machine process development and validation for customer applications
  • Conduct customer acceptance testing and ensure successful system sign-off
  • Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer sessions to customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams (controls, electronics, mechanical, and software)
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives focused on advancing machining technologies and processes
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support installations, training, and customer projects

Systems Applications Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Exposure to research and development projects (academic or professional) preferred
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for design and manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machining technologies
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T and datum structures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

 

Systems Applications Engineer Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with non-conventional machining (EDM, laser, electrochemical machining)
  • Hands-on CNC programming and process optimization experience
  • Customer-facing or applications engineering experience
  • Interest in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies
