An established precision machining and fabrication manufacturer is seeking a Fabrication Programmer to support laser cutting, forming, CAD CAM programming, and production documentation for a hands on manufacturing environment.

Fabrication Programmer | What You Will Do

  • Convert customer supplied CAD files into accurate manufacturing programs
  • Create laser cutting and forming programs using TruTops Boost or similar CAD CAM software
  • Apply nesting strategies to improve material utilization and reduce scrap
  • Develop bend sequences, tooling setups, and press brake instructions
  • Generate complete job travelers with operation steps, work instructions, setups, tooling, quality checkpoints, and inspection requirements
  • Maintain revision control and ensure the latest drawings, files, and customer specifications are used in production
  • Work with production, quality, and engineering to resolve programming, drawing, and manufacturability issues
  • Support fixture, jig, tooling, and internal shop project design as needed

Fabrication Programmer | What You Bring

  • 2 plus years of sheet metal fabrication programming, laser programming, press brake forming programming, or similar CAD CAM programming experience
  • Experience with laser cutting and press brake forming operations
  • TruTops Boost experience preferred; similar CAD CAM or nesting software may be considered
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, revisions, and customer specifications
  • Understanding of sheet metal materials, thicknesses, nesting, tooling, bend sequencing, and fabrication processes
  • Basic to intermediate CAD design experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and shop floor problem solving ability
