Convenience Store Manager – Sterling, MA

Convenience Store Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Previous customer service experience required
Retail management experience highly preferred
Strong leadership and team motivation skills
Experience working with sales targets, KPIs, and financial reports
Ability to work flexible, open schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting 25–50 pounds
Proficient with basic Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Convenience Store Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations with direct leadership for a team of three employees
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff
Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and daily sales reporting
Maintain high standards in store cleanliness, merchandising, and customer service
Monitor inventory, conduct spot checks, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
Address customer needs and resolve concerns, building strong customer relationships
Achieve sales and profitability targets as set with district leadership
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company regulations
