MEP Engineer (PE). Overview

As a MEP Engineer (PE), you will play a hands-on technical and client-facing role within a 50 plus person, 100 percent employee-owned consulting firm delivering projects across the United States. Work spans K-12 schools, higher education, healthcare, liturgical facilities, military installations, correctional facilities, and commercial buildings. Project size ranges from focused renovations to large-scale infrastructure and electrical service replacements. This role is built for an experienced engineer who values accuracy, ownership, and long-term growth.


MEP Engineer (PE). What You Will Do

  • Design and analyze electrical systems for power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications.
  • Review shop drawings and contractor submittals for accuracy and code compliance.
  • Develop and edit electrical specifications and technical documentation.
  • Select and coordinate electrical equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams to define scope, goals, and constraints.
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to project quality control.
  • Support project management activities related to schedules, coordination, and deliverables.

MEP Engineer (PE). Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Minimum of six years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or AE firm.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

MEP Engineer (PE). Preferred Qualifications

  • RCDD certification or ability to obtain.
  • Experience supporting or leading institutional, healthcare, education, federal, or government projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Interest in long-term technical leadership or project leadership growth.
