A premier, nationally recognized luxury restaurant group is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of its flagship-style steakhouse concept in New York City. The concept combines the sophistication of a classic steakhouse with a modern, vibrant atmosphere. The menu showcases premium cuts of beef, wood-fired cooking, exceptional seafood, indulgent sides, and creative chef-driven dining experiences. The ideal candidate brings a strong culinary point of view, outstanding operational discipline, and the ability to lead a large, high-performing kitchen team in a demanding, high-volume environment.

This position requires relocation to New York City. Candidates should be excited about establishing themselves in one of the country's most competitive and dynamic culinary markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution.
• Develop, mentor, and retain a strong brigade of culinary professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, organization, and kitchen readiness.
• Manage food costs, labor, inventory, purchasing, waste, and overall kitchen profitability.
• Collaborate with restaurant leadership on menu development, seasonal features, culinary innovation, and the overall guest experience.
• Execute high-volume service while maintaining the standards expected of a luxury dining destination.
• Establish systems and procedures that support consistency, efficiency, and long-term operational success.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence, inspiring the team through hands-on involvement, clear communication, and professional development.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or senior culinary leader in a high-volume, upscale steakhouse, luxury restaurant, or comparable fine-dining operation.
• Strong knowledge of premium proteins, seafood, wood-fired cooking, menu development, and elevated presentation.
• Demonstrated success managing large kitchen teams and developing future culinary leaders.
• Strong financial acumen, including food-cost management, labor planning, inventory controls, and purchasing.
• A hands-on leadership style with exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to balance creativity with operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, culinary innovation, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to New York City.
