Chef De Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Chef
  • Proven background in upscale, scratch kitchen environments
  • Food Manager Certification required
  • Experience working in full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurants
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills

  • Passion for developing people and fostering a positive team culture
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on cost control and quality improvement
  • Adaptable and energized by working in a dynamic, growth-oriented setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Chef De Cuisine Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring execution of the coastal seafood and oyster bar concept with high standards
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team, managing schedules and performance
  • Oversee inventory, food safety, proper storage, and adherence to FIFO principles
  • Maintain recipe accuracy, portion control, and cost awareness while ensuring allergy and dietary accommodations
  • Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience and build brand loyalty
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, reduce food costs, and increase operational efficiency
