Automation Machine Tool Electrician Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly pay of $38.52–$49.03 plus 6% shift premium, with higher rates based on experience

Automation Machine Tool Electrician Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment
- Proficiency with equipment such as Okuma, G&L, Mazak, Lamb, Landis, Waldrich Coburg, Ingersoll, Toyoda, P&H cranes, ABB robots, and similar machinery
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC, PLC, and relay logic-controlled machines (controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat)
- Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives
- Ability to interpret machine tool prints and schematics at an intermediate or higher level
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate standard tools for repairs
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Automation Machine Tool Electrician Preferred Background & Skills
- Certified electrician
- Associate Degree in Industrial Automation
Automation Machine Tool Electrician Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and control issues on CNC, PLC, and relay logic machines
- Maintain and repair ancillary equipment, including cranes, hoists, conveyors, furnaces, washers, and robots
- Conduct repairs involving analog and digital drive systems and feedback devices
- Interpret schematics and prints to perform complex repairs with precision
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and maintenance goals in a clean, safe, and supportive environment
