Electrical Estimator

A growing commercial electrical contractor is seeking an experienced electrical estimator to join their expanding project management team. With a focus on large-scale distribution centers and commercial projects, this is a great opportunity to impact high-profile builds and retrofits as the company grows rapidly.

Electrical Estimator Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary $130K–$160K depending on experience
  • Performance- and merit-based bonus, structured individually
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees (60% for dependents) after 30 days
  • 401(k) with up to 4% company match (eligibility after 6 months)
  • Paid vacation: 1 week in Year 1, 2 weeks in Years 2–3, 3 weeks after 3 years
  • Minimal travel; primarily an in-office position

Electrical Estimator Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience (commercial construction strongly preferred)
  • Proficient with AccuBid (strongly preferred) and Bluebeam
  • Ability to deliver 5–10 complete estimates and bid proposals per month
  • Experience with Amazon distribution facilities (retrofits or new builds) or similar large-scale commercial projects
  • Strong customer-facing, communication, and negotiation skills

Electrical Estimator Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience in estimating for general commercial work, in addition to distribution/logistics projects
  • Familiarity with Procore (used by field teams)
  • Plug-and-play readiness to handle high-impact bids

Electrical Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Complete full takeoffs, estimates, and bid proposals for commercial electrical projects
  • Interface directly with customers to clarify needs, present proposals, and support preconstruction efforts
  • Manage a consistent pipeline of 5–10 active estimates per month
  • Collaborate closely with project management and field teams to ensure accurate scoping
  • Contribute expertise to maximize bid win rates while supporting rapid team growth
