Superintendent (Junior–Mid Level) – Texas
We are seeking a driven Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent ready to step into a lead role supporting federal healthcare construction projects, primarily within VA medical facilities across Texas.
This is a full-time 1099 opportunity with the potential to transition into a long-term, permanent position.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and grow into leading projects from mobilization through closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors and daily field operations
- Help drive jobsite safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Partner with PMs and leadership on federal project execution
- Assist with documentation (daily logs, RFIs, submittals, look-aheads)
- Gain exposure to managing multiple concurrent projects (4–6)
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of construction experience, ideally as an Assistant Superintendent or similar
- Federal project experience required; VA experience strongly preferred (interior/exterior)
- Experience in occupied or healthcare environments is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Motivated to step into full project ownership over tim
Preferred Background:
- Prior military service or experience working with federal agencies is highly valued
- Texas-based candidates preferred, with travel as needed
Compensation & Opportunity:
- Base + Bonus potential: $120K+
- Full-time 1099 structure
